About Us

Gus & Paul's Bakery and Deli was opened in 1958 by brothers Gus and Paul Weissman.  Hailing from the Bronx, New York, the brothers Weissman settled in Springfield, Massachusetts and opened what is now considered by many to be a Springfield institution.  Gus & Paul's quickly became known for their wide selection of high quality New York deli fare and baked goods including the first bagels to be sold in the area.  Gus & Paul's  boiled their bagels the old fashioned way and continue to do so to this day.
In 1988, they sold the buiness to Paul's son Gordie who has carried on the traditions of his father and uncle.  A third generation baker, Gordie takes great pride in maintaining the quality of products at Gus & Paul's. 
Our Kosher style deli has a wide selection of sandwiches and salads - all made fresh with the finest ingredients.  Whether it's a hot corned beef sandwich, a chef salad or bagel, lox & cream cheese, Gus & Paul's will have something for everyone.  We also serve breakfast all day.  You can eat in or take out, but whatever you do, don't forget dessert!
Our bakery is certifed Kosher wth items ranging from Challah bread to rich, creamy cheesecake.  All items are made from scratch and baked fresh daily.  Gus & Paul's makes all kinds of specialty cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and many other occasions.  Our professional decorators can create the cake of your dreams!  We also bake Parve (dairy free) cakes and can honor most dietary restrictions.
Gus & Paul's also does catering for all occasions including business meetings, parties, wedding receptions and much more.
